Welcome, USAFA Parents

Welcome to the Long Blue Line!  USAFA Arkansas is a non-profit organization made up of parents of cadets who are attending the United States Air Force Academy!  The mission of the Arkansas USAFA Parents Association is to support and encourage the Arkansas-based parents and their cadets.  We provide support through information, assistance, and camaraderie to promote a greater feeling of connection to our cadets and their experiences.

Annual dues of $60.00 per family provide several benefits for our cadets.  First, member cadets receive two "goodie" boxes during the school year to help them through final exams.  These boxes are stuffed with all kinds of favorite treats and packed by the parents while we swap stories of our cadets.  In December, our association pays for the member cadets to attend the All-Academies Ball, where cadets from Air Force, Army, and Navy come together in a special celebration.  All seniors receive a graduation gift.  Finally, our dues are sometimes needed during the rare time when a family is grieving and needs our support.  In 2010, we established an scholarship in the name of Captain Anthony Riggan, an Arkansas USAFA 2007 graduate who died tragically in 2010.

For parent support, we are here to help answer any questions, share advice, and stories, especially important during those tough Academy moments.  We gather together several times a year for our "Beat the BEAST" postcard campaign (usually summer), Parents Weekend for dinner (usually end of August), goodie box assembly (fall and spring), and the All-Academies Ball (winter).

If you are a parent of an Arkansas-based cadet, please consider joining us!  The $60 annual membership is vital to our group's sustainability, and your cadet receives far more than the price of membership.  The Long Blue Line is truly a journey, not just for your cadet, but you as well.  What better way to travel than with those who share your experience!
